Proven leader in managing cross-functional teams, negotiating study budgets, and executing complex protocols across multiple therapeutic areas.
Recognized for implementing strategic process improvements, enhancing patient recruitment, and maintaining audit-ready environments aligned with FDA and GCP standards. Combines strong operational leadership with hands-on clinical expertise to deliver high-quality research outcomes and drive organizational success. Currently advancing expertise through a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
Bernard Pony – Marketing Director. Armed with an extensive pharmaceutical sales background that reaches across multiple therapeutic areas, Bernard brings a customer-centric approach to the Marketing Partner role. My goal is to offer partnership opportunities that will remain aligned with state- and FDA-mandated compliance to aid in bringing pharmaceuticals safely to market. I operate with passion, integrity, and patient well-being in mind. A sports enthusiast and lifelong learner, I spend my spare time traveling and writing.
Antonia Hammond – VP of Finance & Business Development. A Healthcare Operations and Risk Management professional transitioning into Clinical Research, bringing a strong foundation in medical claims payments, regulatory compliance, and data analysis. Passionate about enhancing healthcare outcomes and committed to supporting clinical research initiatives through data integrity, patient-focused processes, and operational excellence.
Dr. Muhammad H. Hasan – Principal Investigator. A board-certified nephrologist at Advocate Christ Medical Center, UChicago Ingalls Hospital, and OSF Little Company of Mary. He specializes in kidney failure, hypertension, and dialysis, and is active in research and professional societies. Dr. Hasan graduated first in his class from the University of Aleppo and is dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Mohammad Matari – Sub Investigator. A board-certified internist, nephrologist and hypertension specialist at Kidney and Hypertension Associates. He specializes in chronic kidney disease and hypertension functions, and earned a Master’s Degree in clinical research. Dr. Mataria graduated from the University of Mosul, and has contributed to several Journal Publications.
Dr. Adel Samad – Sub Investigator. A board-certified nephrologist at Kidney and Hypertension Associates. He is trained and experienced in a wide variety of health conditions and clinical disorders associated with Nephrology and has been recognized for providing the highest standard of patient care.
Dr. Mazen Diab – Sub Investigator. Board-certified and trained in internal medicine/nephrology at Kidney and Hypertension Associates. He is trained and experienced in clinical disorders associated with hypertension and Nephrology and has been praised by patients for his caring attitude, thoroughness, and his ability to explain complex medical conditions.
Dr. Bsher A. Touleimat – Principal Investigator. A board-certified pulmonologist and critical care specialist serving patients in Harvey, Illinois. With nearly four decades of medical experience, he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of lung and respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, sleep apnea, and other complex pulmonary diseases. Dr. Touleimat earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency training at Norwalk Hospital. He is affiliated with UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital and is known for providing comprehensive, patient-centered respiratory care to diverse communities in the Chicago Southland region.
Dr. Ashraf H. Abourahma – Principal Investigator. A a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with more than 25 years of clinical, academic, and cardiovascular research experience. His expertise includes coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease, advanced heart failure, and cardiovascular clinical trials. As Principal Investigator – Cardiology at KC Modern Research, Dr. Abourahma brings extensive experience leading and participating in multicenter clinical trials, with a commitment to advancing evidence-based therapies and improving patient outcomes. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he contributes to physician education and mentorship.
